I don’t think anyone was really expecting anything quite like this when it came it out in 1969, yet those who heard it, like with The Velvet Underground’s record’s, were few and far between as it was largely ignored. This is understandable, not quite garage rock, but just as rough and energetic as it, not quite heavy metal (which was just forming at this time) but just as heavy as it, not quite acid rock, but often as mind melting as it, and not quite punk (which didn’t exist yet), but often times just as negative and degenerate (in a good way) as it.
One of the essential debuts.
