With its iconic cover (French singer Sheila hanging from a parachute in the middle of pterodactyls), and its 8 disco-funk hits (including ‘Spacer’, ‘King of the World’, ‘Charge Plates and Credit Cards’ and ‘Your Love Is Good’), the album King Of The World had everything to make an impression in 1980, especially as it was written, composed, arranged and produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards from the band CHIC. Its success was worldwide and its influence on the Disco and Rock scene was effective and everlasting.
The King Of The World Edition (2020 Remaster – 1LP Red) will feature the remastered album in transparent red vinyl. With her unique career, Sheila has always known how to make her repertoire fresh and stay true to the spirit of the times, as proven by this collaboration with Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards. She was also one of the first singers to be produced by The CHIC Organization.
