 Atacama are a group of four young musicians from the International Music School of Paris (IMEP).
 Their music stems from contemporary jazz and fusion that incorporates colours from various backgrounds.
 Unrestrained rhythms and unexpected harmonies characterize their resolutely modern style, while remaining anchored in the jazz tradition which gives an important place to improvisation.
 The group were built around arrangements of jazz standards before turning to an original repertoire.
 After numerous concerts and in front of the good reception of the public, the group decided to write and record their debut album. The result is unclassifiable music that readily embraces the energy of rock as much as the finesse of jazz, fostering instant musical bonding.
 The compositions and arrangements heard on this album serve as evidence that Atacama are one of the best hopes for the jazz fusion scene today.
